Pershing County High School hosted one of its major events of the year on Saturday – the Lovelock Invitational.
Athletes, fans and coaches enjoyed the mild weather, especially after competing in some adverse conditions throughout the season.
Results were not available at press time but Mustangs were everywhere — running, leaping and throwing the shot put and discus.

“The meet went smoothly once we got started. It was a little nerve-wracking because we had workers scattered into spots, they weren’t familiar with but everyone did well. We couldn’t be more appreciative of the help we got,” said athletic director Mike Brooks.
On Saturday, Pershing County competes in the Lowry Invitational in Winnemucca.
The athletes are working hard to qualify for the postseason meets.
