The Battle Mountain High School track and field team made its way across the state on Saturday to compete at the Big George Invitational in Minden.
The meet featured some of the top 3A and 5A schools in the state.
Senior Blake Stuart turned in the best finish of the day for Battle Mountain, finishing fifth in the long jump with a season-best leap of 19 feet, 2.5 inches.
He added an eighth-place outing in the high jump, clearing the bar at 5-6.
Sophomore Andres Molina led the Longhorn throwers with a pair of personal bests.
He was 18th in the shot put (37-7.50) and 22nd in the discus (108-4). Ben George was 26th in the discus with a throw of 104-3.
Sophomore Eli Colver turned in a personal best in the 3,200 meters with a time of 11 minutes, 19.71 seconds to place 18th and he also set a personal best in the 1,600 meters at 5:31.20.
Sophomore Joey Smith placed 19th in the 110-meter hurdles at 18.96.
On the girls side, Jenna Chopp finished seventh in the shot put with a toss of 28-9 and Olivia Lemaire was 10th at 27-8. Lemaire placed 18th in the discus and Chopp was 28th (62-00).
Senior Lisette Haney placed 17th in the triple jump with a leap of 28-1.50 and sophomore Sonja Sherve set a personal best in the 3,200 meters to place 19th with a time of 16:21.56.
Galena won the team title on the boys side with 99.5 points, followed by Spanish Springs (84) and Douglas (75.5).
Douglas won the girls title with 149.5 points.
Battle Mountain travels to Eureka on Friday.
