Battle Mountain's Lindsey Bleak passes the ball to a teammate against Pershing County

The Battle Mountain High School volleyball team closed out a four-match homestand with a pair of losses to Pershing County and Coral Academy of Reno this past weekend.

The Mustangs knocked off the Longhorns 27-25, 25-20, 25-22 on Friday night and the Falcons won in three sets as well, 25-18, 25-17, 25-18.

The Lady Longhorns fell to 1-8 in the Northern 2A and 7-16 overall. Battle Mountain travels to Incline on Friday at 6 p.m. and are moves over to Tahoe City, Calif., on Saturday to play North Tahoe at noon.

Battle Mountain hosts Oasis Academy (Oct. 6) and Yerington (Oct. 7) for homecoming.
