Playing in front of its home crowd for the only time in September, the Lowry High School volleyball team got back on the winning track with a 25-17, 25-7, 25-12 victory over Wooster on Thursday night.
Lowry improved to 3-8 overall and is 0-3 in the 3A East. The win doesn’t count in the 3A standings, with the change in playoff format this season.
The Colts jumped with three of the first four points, when the Lady Bucks regrouped for the next three points on a kill by Savannah Stoker, an ace from Destiny Medicine Cloud and a kill by Vanessa Lott.

Lowry did not trail again, building a 17-7 advantage from two kills by Olivia Espinola and an ace by Karyn Morton. The Lady Bucks cruised from there to go up 1-0.
Lowry raced to a 15-3 lead in the second set, behind to kills from Alexis Galarza, a kill and ace from Stoker and an ace from Lott. Morton added two aces late in the set, as the Lady Bucks were never challenged.
It was the same story in the third set, with the aid of a block by Stoker and an ace from Angeleena Burke, Lowry jumped out to a 10-3 lead.
Two kills from, Allison Green late in the match, kept the gap at double figures, as the Lady Bucks cruised to the win.
Lowry is back on the road this weekend at Dayton on Friday at 6 p.m. and Fernley on Saturday at noon.
After a road trip to Fallon on Oct. 6, the Lady Bucks finish the regular season with four consecutive matches at home.
