The Battle Mountain High School girls soccer team made its home debut last week with a pair of matches against Lyon County schools.
Fernley made the trip to Battle Mountain on Wednesday, Sept. 6, and left with an 8-0 win.
The Vaqueros led 2-0 at halftime and added six goals in the second half.
After a scheduling hiccup, Battle Mountain took on Dayton on Thursday, Sept. 7.

The match was set for Tuesday, Sept. 5, where officials and Battle Mountain were there, but Dayton thought the game was Thursday.
The Dust Devils won the match 4-0, as the Lady Longhorns dropped to 0-4 in the Northern 3A East.
Battle Mountain traveled to Lowry on Tuesday and Churchill County on Wednesday and results were not available at press time. Battle Mountain hosts Spring Creek on Sept. 20, at 4:45 p.m. and travels to Spring Creek on Sept. 22, for a 4:45 p.m. start.
The Lady Longhorns will be at Elko on Sept. 23, at 11:45 a.m.
