Gail Piquet shot a low-net score of 63 to win the first flight of the Winnemucca Ladies Golf Club Tin Whistle tournament on Tuesday, Aug. 29, at Winnemucca Municipal Golf Course.
Laurie Pickett was second in the first flight with a round of 54. Marlea Pointer (62) was low net in the first flight and Maria Bengochea (59) finished second.
In the nine-hole tournament on Aug. 21, Alicia Heiser was first in the first flight at 37 and Lori Woodland (38) was second. On Monday, Aug. 28. Woodland was first with a score of 30 and Shelby Harkness (37.5) was second.
Piquet had the fewest putts with 27 and Vicki Celio, Piquet, Pickett and Pointer had chip-ins.
Pickett was closes to the hole on No. 2 at 18 feet, 11 inches and Bryn Echevarria was closest on No. 5 at 8-6.
Donations from the tournament went to their Rally for a Cure.
