The Battle Mountain Basque Club held their summer picnic on Aug. 5, at Lions Club Park. The afternoon started with a chorizo, hot dog, salad, beans, dessert meal followed with kids games and ending with the Basque Dancers performing. Thank you to all who helped with food, games and our dance instructors Maite Kovis, Megan Hernandez and Kaylee Tolbert. A special thanks to Raymond and Brenda at Food Town and Jose and Bianca Lomeli at the Hideaway for their donations.
