Even though the season did not end the way the Lowry High School girls soccer wanted it to, there was still a number of accomplishments during the season that happened.
The Lady Bucks swept Spring Creek for the first time in 10 years, and were the only team to beat Elko in the Northern 3A East this fall.
It was a whirlwind of an ending for Lowry, who closed out the regular season on Oct. 24, in Fallon.
The winner of that match would host a playoff match later in the week.
Churchill County jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second half, when Lowry closed the gap to 2-1. Moments later, the Greenwave answered the goal to lead by two at 3-1.

The Lady Bucks did not go away, closing the gap to 3-2 late in the match. However, Churchill County held on for the 3-2 win.
Alia Novi and Natalya Guizar had the goals, with Ava Swensen adding an assist.
The schedule makers did Lowry no favors, as the Lady Bucks were back on the road at South Tahoe on Friday for the opening round of the Northern 3A Regional Championships.
Lowry had the quickest turnaround of all the teams, as other games were played on Saturday and Monday.

The Vikings netted a pair of goals in the first half but that was all the scoring for South Tahoe.
Novi, a senior, found the back of the net in the second half for the Lady Bucks on an assist by Maite Avalos but Lowry could not find the tying goal and lost 2-1.
Lowry, who graduates four seniors, finished the year 16-7 overall and 14-4 in league play.
“These girls are nothing short of amazing,” said LHS coach Chris Entwistle. “Watching them battle South Tahoe was a thing of beauty. So proud and happy to have coached them. Sad the season is over.”
