The Lowry High School volleyball team made its final regular season road trip of the season with a short ride to Fallon on Friday night against Churchill County.
The Lady Bucks, looking for their first win in the Northern 3A East, won the first set 25-23 in a back-and-forth affair.
The Greenwave led 20-19, but gave the point right back with a serving error and went back up 23-21 after a Lowry hitting error.
The Lady Bucks tied the set at 23 with kills from Elma Jimenez and Savannah Stoker.
Lowry took the lead at 24-23, after Maddison McClure got the ball up and over from the ground after playing it off the net.
The Lady Bucks won the set off a Greenwave hitting error.
The momentum was short-lived, as Churchill County game back with a 25-13 win in the second set.
Lowry looked as if it was going win the third set, leading 24-21, but Churchill County scored the final five points to win the set 26-24.
The Greenwave tied the set at 24 with an ace and led 25-24 after a defensive error. Churchill County closed out the set with an ace.
The Greenwave led at 18-12 in the fourth set, only to see the Lady Bucks rally to cut the deficit to 23-22.
Lowry tied the set at 23 with an ace from Stoker and led 24-23 after a kill by Vanessa Lott.
The Lady Bucks could not hold the lead, as the Greenwave scored the final three points, the last on a kill.
Lowry is 0-6 in league play and finishes Northern 3A Est play with four matches at home. As part of homecoming this week,
Lowry takes on Elko at 4 p.m. in a new start time. The Lady Bucks face Spring Creek on Saturday at 1 p.m.
