Battle Mountain's Lisette Haney finished sixth overall at the Northern 2A East girls golf tournament in West Wendover on Thursday,
The Battle Mountain High School girls golf team was in West Wendover this past Thursday to play Tona Vista Golf Course in a Northern 2A East tournament.
White Pine won the team title with a score of 524, followed by Wells at 524 and Battle Mountain (551).
White Pine’s Kylee Knudsen and Wells’ Tiffany Higbee each shot 103, with Knudsen winning medalist honors on the scorecard tie-breaker.
Battle Mountain’s Jenna Chopp with a round of 128 and Lisette at 135, placed fifth and sixth, respectively.
Alyssa Laughon carded a 142, Hadlee Bauer a 146 and Jaylee Jorgensen 162.
The regular season concludes on Thursday in Wells at Chimney Rock Golf Course.
The Northern 2A East Regional Championship will be held Thursday, Oct. 12, at Ruby View Golf Course in Elko at 9 a.m.
The top three teams and top six individuals from non-qualifying teams from the regional tournament will advance to the NIAA Class 2A state tournament.
The state tournament will be held at Toiyabe Golf Club on Oct. 17-18.
