The Lowry High School girls golf team was back on the course last week, including hosting the Northern 3A at Winnemucca Municipal Golf Course on Monday, Sept. 25.
Beautiful weather greeted the golfers in Winnemucca, as the top five teams were separated by 20 strokes.

Wooster claimed the team title with a score of 424, with Fernley (436) at second and South Tahoe (441) was third. Lowry (442) and Elko (444) rounded out the top five.
Spring Creek (478), Churchill County (497), North Valleys (548) and Truckee (561) completed the team scores.
Wooster’s Rya Montoya was the low medalist with an impressive round of 3-over 75.

Lowry’s Katie Cassinelli was the runner-up with a round of 88 and Fernley’s Nadia Velasquez was third at 90.
Lainey Novacek finished with a 112 for the Lady Bucks, Jordyn Medicine Cloud carded a 114 and Isabella Bartell had the final kept score with a 114.
Kailani Rodriguez shot 129 and Naomi Miller finished at 145.
Lowry places fifth at Fernley
The Northern 3A made its way to Fernley and Desert Lakes Golf Club on Tuesday, Sept. 26, and the Vaqueros pulled out the team victory on their home course with a score of 401.
South Tahoe (401) finished second, followed by Wooster (416), Elko (423) and Lowry (436).

Spring Creek (455), Churchill County (482), North Valleys (486) and Truckee at 531 completed the team scores.
Montoya had the low round of the day at 83, with Velasquez placing second at 85 and Cassinelli was third with an 88.
Novacek carded a 110 for Lowry, Rodriguez had a 116 and Medicine Cloud finished at 122.

Bartell (124) and Bailey Miller (153) rounded out the Buckaroo scores.
South Tahoe and Wooster are tied for the team lead for the Northern 3A championship with 35 points apiece.
Fernley is third with 30 points. The top three teams from the final regular season standings qualify for the state tournament in Mesquite. There is no regional championship.
Lowry is fourth with 22.5 point and Elko (22) and Spring Creek (12) are fifth and sixth, respectively.
The Northern 3A regular season concludes on Monday, Oct. 9, at Lake Tahoe Golf Course and Tuesday, Oct. 10, at Tahoe Donner Golf Course.
