October 17

In the case of Ronald Merrill, charged with Resisting a Public Officer. Parties have reached a resolution and will not be proceeding with Bench Trial. Pursuant to negotiation, DDA Steve Girardot amended the criminal complaint prior to court which was acknowledged by all parties. Defendant entered a no contest plea to amended charge. The court canvassed his plea, accepted the same, and ruled as follows: Fined $355, converted to jail time and given credit for time served. 


In the case of Luis Manuel Flores, charged with Obstructing a Public Officer. Pursuant to negotiation, defendant entered a No Contest plea. 

The court canvassed his plea and accepted the same and ruled as follows: Fined $1,140 with $150 converted to jail time and given credit for time served. The remaining $990 is to be paid by monthly payments of $50 beginning January 1, 2024.


October 18

In the case of Trevor Eathan Jackson, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Pursuant to negotiation, DDA Steve Girardot amended the criminal complaint in open court which was acknowledged by all parties. Defendant entered a No Contest plea to the amended charge

The court canvassed his plea, accepted the same, and ruled as follows: Fined $1,140 with $150 converted to jail time and given credit for time served. The remaining $990 is to be paid by monthly payments of $50 beginning November 1, 2023. Bond exonerated.


In the case of Jennifer Tipton, charged with Maintaining or Permitting Nuisance. DDA Shane Bell discussed this matter with defendant off the record. Pursuant to negotiation, DDA reduced the fine amount to $300 with the charge to remain as is. Defendant has 30 days to pay in full.


October 19

In the case of Nataly Espino-Castanon, charged with Domestic Battery w/ two Prior Convictions. State made motion for a one time dismissal pursuant to statute. No objection from defense. Court granted motion, case dismissed in open court. 


In the case of Cheyanne Marie Jones, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. State amended complaint to Possession of a Controlled Substance Not to be Introduced into Interstate Commerce, a misdemeanor. Defendant entered a No Contest plea.

The court accepted her plea and ruled as follows: Fined $1,140, with a credit of $300 for 2 days jail time served, leaving a balance of $840. Defendant is to pay $50 monthly payments due on or before December 1, 2023.


In the case of Mya Marie Thompson, charged with DUI – 1st Offense. Defendant changed her plea to No Contest. She, along with her attorney read and signed the DUI admonishment and waiver.

The court accepted her plea and ruled as follows: Sentence to 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for period of 1 year. Stayed jail time on the condition she serve 2 days and was given credit for 1 day time served. 

The remaining day is converted to 2 days house arrest to be completed by December 1, 2023 and she pay a fine of $585 in $50 monthly payments Starting on or before December 1, 2023. DUI school and victim impact panel to be completed by February 1, 2024, and was ordered to have Breath Interlock device for a period of 185 days. Bail is exonerated.


In the case of Jera Marie Nix, charged Domestic Battery – 1st Offense. County made motion to dismiss case due to victims not wanting to testify against each other. Court granted motion and case was dismissed in open court. 


In the case of Kevin Raymond Mertens, charged with Domestic Battery – 1st Offense. County made motion to dismiss case due to victims not wanting to testify against each other. Court granted motion and case was dismissed in open court. 


October 24

In the case of Jennifer Marie Andrews, charged with Violation of a Temporary or Extended Restraining Order. Pursuant to negotiation, DDA Steve Girardot amended the criminal complaint, which was acknowledged by all parties. Defendant entered a No Contest plea to amended charge. Court canvassed her plea and accepted the same. After hearing from all parties, the court ruled as follows: Fined $355 with $200 to be converted to jail time and given credit for time served. The remaining $155 is to be paid in full by December 1, 2023. Bond exonerated.


In the case of Tauni Rolando, charged with, 1: Drive w/ Suspended, Revoked, or Cancelled Driver’s License, 2: Operator – Proof of Insurance Required, 3: Operate Unregistered Vehicle, Trailer, or Semi Trailer. Due to compliance and proof provided, DDA Shane Bell motioned to dismiss this case. Without objection from the defendant, the court accepted and this case is hereby dismissed.


October 25

In the case of Jeremy Jay Hinkey, charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance – Level III. Pursuant to negotiation, DDA Steve Girardot amended the criminal complaint. Defendant entered a Guilt plea. 

Court canvassed his plea and accepted the same. After hearing from all parties, the court ruled as follows: Fined $1,140l, converted to jail time and given credit for times served. 


October 30

In the case of Lewis Antonio Otero, charged with Convicted Person Registration w/Local Law Enforcement within 48 hrs. Defendant was read and signed the arraignment and rights form and entered a Guilty plea at the counter. Fined $640 and was given credit for time served, leaving a balance of $190 to be paid in full by December 1, 2023.


In the case of Thomas Leonard Jackson, charged with Disorderly Conduct. Defendant read and signed his arraignment and rights form and entered a Guilty plea at the counter. Defendant was given credit for 2 days time served. 


In the case of Enrique Saihd Armejo, charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. Defendant entered a guilty plea. Court canvassed and accepted and ruled as follows: Fined $1,140, suspended for a period of 1 year on the condition of no further violations of the law other than minor traffic.


October 31

In the case of Sandra Patricia Velazco-Reyes, charged with Hit and Run Property Damage. DA Kevin Pasquale stated the victim is not seeking restitution in this matter. Court ruled as follows: Fined $1,140 to be paid in monthly payments of $50 beginning December 1, 2023.

Kerry Stanfill, age 54, was arrested for, 1: Possession of Stolen Property, 2: Obtaining Money, Property, Rent, or Labor by False Pretenses. Bail $11,140.


October 25

Savanna Wilson, age 36, was arrested for Violation of Condition of Release. No Bail.
