PCCTA names Matuszyk as Teacher of the Year

The Pershing County Classroom Teachers Association would like to recognize Mrs. Eva Matuszyk as our 2023 Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Matuszyk is a positive example of tireless effort, extraordinary leadership and impactful teaching deemed worthy of this distinction. Her ability to change and adapt gracefully to the many challenges of the teaching profession does not go unnoticed. From the relationships she builds with her students to the lasting impact she will forever leave on their lives, her passion for and commitment to her students and craft are exemplary. Eva represents the very best in the teaching profession. Congratulations Eva, this honor is well deserved!

Eva has been teaching in Pershing County School district for 8 years. During this time she has taught English, sponsored and sustained a Color Guard Team and taken them to State competitions, coached the girls soccer team, been heavily involved in the MTSS team at PCHS and is currently the advisor of the PCHS Student Leadership and the National Honor Society. She works endlessly to improve the culture and environment for all students in our district.
