The PCHS track team hosts the Lovelock Invitational on Friday, May 5, starting at 9 a.m.
Although their numbers are low they've accomplished dozens of PRs (personal records) this year.
The athletes compete not only against other teams. They compete against themselves as they strive to improve.
On the girl's side, look for Hayley Montes and Yasmin Acosta. The boys include Angelo Gibson, Ashton Jimenez, Denzel Zaldivar, Evan Glanton, Izayuh McGlothin, Josiah Hunt, Luis Sanchez and Ramon Sanchez.
Lovelock competes in a variety of events including racing, hurdles, jumps and shot put.
Regionals are May 12-13 at Reed High School in Sparks. The NIAA 2A State Championships are May 19-20 in Las Vegas.
