1946 – 2023
On Wednesday, March 8th Judy, as she was known to friends, left this earth with the wings of an angel.
Known to family as Mom, Momma J, and Grandma Judy.
She was a devout Christian, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Judy was a widow, having lost her beloved Richard Elliott in 2016 who she loved to the moon and back.
Judy was retired and enjoyed reading her bible, attending church and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her brothers and sisters; Georgine Schleining of Billings, MT, Kathy Badovine of Butte, Montana, David Berzel of Billings, MT, Gary Berzel of Orlando, FL, John Sauter of Orlando, FL.
Judy left behind a legacy of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Children, Julie Cota Davis of Anderson, CA, Sheila Cota Brown of Winnemucca, NV, Troy Cota of Hiyhland Park, CA, and Shawn Cota of Gillette, WY. Grandchildren, Chris Kemp, Brittany Nielsen, Taylor Weatherford, Brandon Brown, Katlin Brown, Nichole Neary, Matthew Cota, Ashley Cota, Kayden Brown and many great-grandchildren.
The family would like to recognize Sheila Cota Brown and Katlin Brown for their tireless efforts in taking care of Judy in her final years and moments, holding her hand as she left this earth, thank you ladies.
And thank you to Harmony Manor and Humboldt General Hospital for their excellent care of Judy.
Judy will be missed by all who knew her and loved her because all who knew her loved her.
