Vasquez named to Northern 2A all-league second team

Battle Mountain High School’s Jr Vazquez was named to the Northern 2A all-league second team for his play during the season for the Lady Longhorns. 


Blake Stuart earned honorable mention honors for the Longhorns. The all-league selections are made by the league coaches.


Incline’s Tommy Williams and West Wendover’s Eduardo Badillo were named the Most Valuable Players. 


Pershing County’s Jesse Canchola was named the Coach of the Year. North Tahoe’s Daniel Joslin was named the Defensive Player of the Year and James DeMaraias was the Offensive Player of the Year.


The all-league first team included West Wendover’s Osvaldo Carrillo and Adryan Carlos, Incline’s Vaughn Anderson and Luc Casini, Yerington’s Noah Thom and Pershing County’s Travis Donaldson.


Joining Vasquez on the second team was Pershing County’s Aaron Keinbaum, North Tahoe’s Jared Hunt, Incline’s Cameron Bodel, Yerington’s Carlos Ortero and West Wendover’s Alfonzo Haro and William Martinez.
