Battle Mountain’s Holley named to Northern 2A all-league first team

Battle Mountain High School’s Christina Holley was named to the Northern 2A all-league first team for her play during the season for the Lady Longhorns.


The all-league selections are chosen by the league coaches.


North Tahoe’s Alana Hendricks and Jason Flesock were named the Most Valuable Player and Coach of the Year, respectively.


Pershing County’s Raegen Burrows was named the Defensive Player of the Year and West Wendover’s Cyanna Rodriguez was the Offensive Player of the Year.


Joining Holley on the all-league first team, was Pershing County’s  Kaydence Happy and Taylor Garland, North Tahoe’s Nicole Castellanos Sosa and Makenna Alter, West Wendover’s Patricia Simental and Yerington’s Kylie Harry.


Battle Mountain’s Aylea Ramos was named to the Northern 2A second team. 


That group included Ashleen Kair (Coral Academy), Sophia Jeffery (North Tahoe), Lesly Tovar (West Wendover), Naomie Screen (Yerington) and Aliyah Allen and Anna Happy of Pershing County.


Battle Mountain’s Lindsey Bleak and Thalia Gonzalez were named to the honorable mention team.
