In the case of Geraldine Lynn McGarva, charged with Possession of Paraphernalia. Criminal charge was amended by DDA Steve Girardot prior to court and acknowledged by all parties. Defendant entered guilt plea to amended charge. Court canvassed her plea and accepted the same and ruled as follows: Fined $640 to be paid in monthly payments of $50 beginning July 1, 2023.
In the case of Anothony Perez, charged with, 1: Driving while License is Cancelled/Suspended/Revoked, 2: Use of Head Lamps and Stop Lights Required, 3: Protective Headgear, Glasses, Goggles, or Face Shield, 4: Current Registration Required. DDA amended criminal complaint on count 1 prior to court which was acknowledged by all parties. The defendant entered a guilty plea to amended count 1 and count 2 which was canvassed and accepted by the court. Pursuant to negotiation, DA motioned to dismiss count 3 and 4. The state offered one exhibit which was marked and admitted without objection. The court ruled as follows: Fined $430 for counts 1 and 2, to be suspended for a period of 3 months on the condition of 60 days house arrest are completed by September 1, 2023. The court accepted the DA’s motion and counts 3 and 4 are dismissed without objection from defense. Bond exonerated.
In the case of Kevin Anthony Barner, charged with Battery with Substantial Bodily Harm. Due to absence of the victim in court, DDA Steve Girardot motioned for a one time dismissal. Without objection from defense, the court accepted and this case is hereby dismissed and the defendant is to be released from custody on this case.

In the case of Jeremiah Mitchell Day, charged with Ex-Felon Failure to Notify Law Enforcement of Change of Address. Defendant entered a change of plea to guilty. Court canvassed and accepted the same. Court ruled as follows: Fined $640 with $150 converted to jail time and given credit for time served, $350 to be deferred for a period of 1 year on the condition of continued compliance and no new like violations. The remaining $140 is to be paid immediately following court.
