OROVADA — The Humboldt River Field Office has published a Notice of Realty Action in the Federal Register to convey 40 acres to Humboldt County for construction of a new public school complex that will include a K-8 elementary school and a high school in Orovada, Nevada, to improve educational services in the community.
BLM field office staff worked with the Humboldt County School District to identify a parcel at the corner of Pine Grove Lane and Key Road, southwest of Orovada, as the proposed location for the school.
“The new school will replace the existing Orovada Elementary School, which has become difficult to maintain due to its age and condition,” said Humboldt River Field Office Assistant Field Manager, Susan Grande.
Once the Federal Register notice has been published, there will be a 45-day review period. For additional information contact Susan Grande, Assistant Field Manager, at (775) 623-1500.
