The Battle Mountain High School girls basketball team collected one win in thee games in Northern 2A play last week.
West Wendover 43, BMHS 32
Battle Mountain opened the week on Tuesday, Jan. 17, against West Wendover and lost 42-32 to West Wendover.
Aylea Ramos paced the Lady Longhorns with 16 points and Christina Holley added six points. Lilliana Haney and Shea Jones netted four points apiece and Bailey Elderkin had two points.
BMHS 31, Coral Academy 25
Battle Mountain was back in action this past Friday and beat Coral Academy of Reno 31-25. In the low-scoring game, the Lady Longhorns led 12-8 at halftime, holding the Falcons to four points apiece in the first two quarters.
Battle Mountain grabbed an eight-point lead after three quarters and held on from there.
Ramos had a team-high 11 points and Jones and Holley each scored six points. Jolena Ayers, Elderkin, Lindsey Bleak and Lisette Haney had two points apiece.
PCHS 45,
BMHS 26
Battle Mountain hosted Pershing County on Saturday and lost 45-26. The Mustangs led 27-8 at halftime.
Ramos and Holley scored 10 and nine points, respectively for Battle Mountain.
The Lady Longhorns are 9-6 overall and 4-2 in league play.
Battle Mountain traveled to West Wendover on Tuesday and results were not available at press time.
The Longhorns hit the road this weekend to play Silver Stage on Friday at 6 p.m. and Yerington on Saturday at 2 p.m.
