Officials get sworn in for New Year—

Newly elected officials and senior officials were sworn in to their positions for 2023 by Sixth Judicial District Court Judge Michael Montero at the Humboldt County Courthouse on Jan. 3 with friends and family present. Those present to take their oath of servitude included (in order from left to right): Humboldt General Hospital Board members Jill Stepper and Michelle Miller, Humboldt County Treasurer Rhona Lecumberry, Humboldt County Assessor Andy Heiser, Humboldt County School District Trustee Lori Woodland, Humboldt County Sheriff Angel Cardenas, Humboldt County Commissioners Ron Cerri and Mark Evatz, Judge Montero, Humboldt County District Attorney Kevin Pasquale, Humboldt County Recorder Tia Lange, Golconda Fire District member Kenneth Taylor, Winnemucca Rural Fire District member, James Studebaker, Humboldt County Clerk, Tami Rae Spero, Humboldt County School District Trustees Sabrina Uhlmann, Nicole Bengochea, Ron Moser, and Lonnie Hammargren, and Paradise Valley Fire District member Alex Potts. Those that were not present included: Paradise Valley Fire District member David Kern and McDermitt Fire District member Dale Hartley.
