Pink Tuna wins 2023 Don Peters Memorial Tournament

Pink Tuna out of Idaho won the 2023 Don Peters Memorial Tournament at Spare Time Bowl. 


The Winners Inn and Winnemucca Inn helped sponsoring the tournament, as 36 teams and nearly 110 bowlers participated, with 100 of them from out of town. 


Over $13,000 in prize money was awarded as 36 teams competed. 


Pink Tuna won the top prize of $3,600 and team members include Josh Groves, Jess Cecil and Danny Pankowski.


WeUstaCould (Elliot Morris, John Landers, Bill Cranston) finished second and earned $2,700. You Hit Em We Got Em (Bruce Haylett, Rebecca Azurmendi, Mike Sulak) placed third and won $1,950. 


In Like Flynn (Allen Eichorn, Derek Murray, Jamie Flynn) were fourth and won $1,500. 


U Daddy (Charlie Washburn, Jeff Burkhart, Ajay Walters) placed fifth and D’s For the Win (Danny Dunbar DeeDee Christ, Drake Dembke) were sixth. 


Triplets (Josh Cook, Jesse Fromyer, Doug Haylett) placed seventh and DKJ (Dave Christy, Jimmy Klein, Kyle Klein) finished in eighth.


The high team game went to Pink Hares (James Pinkney, Roger Hare Sr., Roger Hare Jr.) with a 746 game. Roger Hare Jr. had the high individual game, with a 300. 


The high average out of the money went to Shawn Horneberger at 233.50. Jeff Morley had the high individual points won/out of the money with 20.


Triplets won the Saturday, Feb. 11 results, while Pink Tuna and You Hit Em We Get Em were second and third, respectively.
