McDermitt boys see season end with loss at Jackpot

The McDermitt High School boys basketball team saw its season come to an end on Wednesday, Feb. 15, with a 49-39 loss to Jackpot in the opening round of the 1A East Regional Basketball Championships.

The Bulldogs finished the year 1-22.

The lone senior on the Bulldogs’ squad is Elias Smart.

In the semifinals at Elko High School on Friday, Owyhee beat Jackpot and Eureka knocked off Carlin.

Owyhee beat Eureka for the 1A East Championship.

Both teams advance to the state tournament this weekend in Reno.
