The McDermitt High School boys basketball team rounded the regular season this past weekend at home with a 52-36 loss to Jackpot on Friday and a 71-41 defeat to Wells on Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs finished the regular season 0-10 in league play and 1-20 overall.
Against Jackpot, Jeremiah Horn reached double figures with 10 points and Eli Northrup and Warrick Crutcher added nine and eight points, respectively.
Josh Northrup ended with five points.
Elias Smart grabbed eight rebounds, as did Josh Northrup to go with an assist.
Horn added nine rebounds and Smart had four assists and a steal.
Against Wells, Horn and Eli Northrup led McDermitt with 14 and 10 points, respectively.
Josh Northrup scored six points, AJ Farmer four and Crutcher three.
McDermitt will face Jackpot once again in the opening round of the 1A East Regional Championship on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
The winner of that game plays Owyhee at 8 p.m. on Friday at Elko High School.
Carlin travels to Wells in the other first-round match-up on Wednesday.
That winner plays league champion Eureka at 4:40 p.m. on Friday at Elko High School.
The championship game is set for 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at Elko High School.
The two finalists advance to the NIAA State Championships from Feb. 23-25 at North Valleys High School, Wooster High School and Lawlor Events Center in Reno.
