Lowry High School students competed in the Northeast Regional Welding Competition held at the Great Basin Community College Elko Campus on Sat., Feb. 4. The students competed in three welding and cutting based rotations and a written test. Presley Hayes received first place, Zane Cano placed second, AJ Mendoza placed fourth and Tesa Urrutia placed eighth. The top four students (including Hayes, Cano, and Mendoza) will be moving on to the State Competition in April. Congratulations to the students!
