It has begun.
They’re rolling out the big guns. Today, 1/25/23, President Joe Biden declared the US is to send 30 Abrams heavy tanks to add to the conflict in the Ukraine.
Germany has also just recently agreed to send 80 of its long barreled Leopard tanks to join in that war. In doing so, Germany also has allowed the export of these same monstrous war machines of theirs which are presently located in Spain, Poland, Norway and Finland to join the deadly fray in Ukraine.
In the meantime, Russian forces are massing on the northern border of Ukraine and preparing for a major offensive to protect and defend what they consider their sovereign territory of the Russian Federation, those are the zones annexed in eastern Ukraine as well as Crimea.
And Russia has plainly stated it will defend its territory with all means necessary.
I would not doubt or question its intent. It’s not safe, reasonable or prudent to poke the bear.
So, dear reader, the page is turning to this most dangerous chapter. Ever more fuel is being added in escalating the already raging war inferno. And our powerful world leaders are urging full speed ahead!
After almost 1 year of combat and so much senseless loss of life in what started as a border skirmish and has escalated steadily with almost unlimited imports of armaments, equipment and funds pouring into Ukraine from NATO countries and especially the US, here today, a very distinct red line is being crossed.
This time last year, if asked about that far off land, many people might respond: “Who, what and where is Ukraine and what does it have to do with me?”
Well that’s about to become very glaringly real here shortly.
I see Ukraine as a minor eastern European country which would be better off left alone to manage its own affairs. It certainly should not be the epicenter spot that ignites the spark setting off World War 3!
Early in the conflict there were peace talks occurring, suggested ceasefire and serious attempts at a settlement. But then, the UK prime minister at the time, Boris Johnson, traveled to Ukraine and nullified the entire negotiations process.
He pushed for NATO to take the fight to the limit and promised to deliver whatever it takes to weaken Russia.
There has been non stop carnage, death and destruction ever since.
There’s so much to this sad story that it would take many articles if I were to get into all the details. This is why I’m just touching on the highlights here.
There’s no limit to the war propaganda, false accusations and such as to who is right, who has just cause and which side is defending democracy. This is always the case in war. The truth gets trampled on.
I think everyone involved is responsible for their share of reckless destruction. I see no just reason or defence of democracy in this entire mess. It’s an extreme opposite of sanity, reason and defence of freedom.
It’s more of a psychotic nightmare on a national and soon to be international scale. And our tax dollars support it!
There was another event that occurred today. The foreign minister of Germany, Annalena Baerbock, in a public meeting stated: “We are fighting a war against Russia”.
She said it plainly for all the world to hear, and even received applause. It’s no longer a pretended proxy war of Ukraine versus Russia.
By “We” she means all NATO countries at war against the powerful Russian Nation. And who is the great force backing NATO with their massive arms buildup of Ukraine but the US of A!
America has fought and lost many wars in recent years. It just experienced a humiliating and disastrous withdrawal from its 20 yearlong invasion of Afghanistan.
It was beaten by a rag tag disorganized bunch of peasants. And now, can you believe it, it wants to face down the mighty bear!
Doesn’t the US know of Russia’s nuclear power potential and its willingness to utilize it in its own defense?
This path we are currently on sure looks to me like we are playing a reckless game of Russian roulette!
And if all this was not disastrous enough, way on the opposite side of the world there’s another storm brewing for the USA. It is using provocation and intimidation against the other major world nuclear power — China! Rather than utilizing goodwill, diplomacy and peaceful negotiations it prefers to project its power and dominance over the Twain situation.
I think that some of our power hungry, self-destructive, sociopathic world leaders are bound and determined in committing suicide and I don’t want to stop them. I just don’t want them to include you and I.
The insane act of taking on China as well as Russia in a military conflict appears to be like putting another round in and spinning the chamber as the US continues its game of Russian roulette.
