Georgia Rose Sellers was born on November 1, 1939 to Dorothy and Nathan Sellers in Manassa, Colorado.
Nathan was a turquoise miner so most of her childhood was spent moving around to different mining towns before settling in Battle Mountain, Nevada.
Georgia met and later married Bill Lauritzen in Battle Mountain where the couple raised three children Nathan, Lisa and Lili.
During the time that she lived in Battle Mountain, she had a lengthy career as an Appraiser for the Lander County Assessor and she was very involved in Women In Mining (WIM).
Georgia and Bill were married 33 years until Bill passed away on December 20, 1987.
Georgia later married Stuart Felde in 1991 and moved to Elizabeth, Colorado where she had a successful career as a real estate Title Officer.
She gained 4 Stepchildren as a result of their marriage; Maren, Steven, Grete and Patrick. Georgia and Stu were married 31 years until Stuart passed away on June 25, 2022 after a lengthy illness.
Georgia loved gardening, cooking, spending time with her friends, family and her beloved cat Vinnie.
Georgia unexpectedly passed away after a short illness at the age of 83 on December 23, 2022 in Castle Rock, Colorado.
She will be missed as much as she was loved.
Georgia was preceded in death by her Husband Stuart Felde, Her previous Husband Bill Lauritzen, her Father Nathan Sellers, her Mother Dorothy McMullen, her Stepfather Sam McMullen and her Brother Ed Sellers.
She is survived by her Sister Sondra Torgerson (Scott), her Children; Nathan (Linda) Lauritzen, Lisa (Kenny) Legarza and Lili Williams-Igou (Kevin), her Stepchildren; Maren (Nick Vassallo), Steven and Patrick (Julie) Felde and Grete (John) Carlson, her Grandchildren; Allie (Steven) Paunovich, Jake Legarza, Hayden Edwards, Jennifer (Garrett Paul) and Joseph Williams, Alysen and Emily Igou, Beau, Brent and Aaron Server, Christopher (Erica) and Ryan Vassallo, Gabe and Walker Carlson, as well as 6 Great Grandchildren; Vivienne Paunovich, Birdie Server, Finnegan Felde, Victoria and Jackson Paul and Esme Vassallo, her cat Vinnie, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
There will be 2 celebrations of life for Georgia on May 20, 2023 in Elizabeth, Colorado and on July 8, 2023 in Battle Mountain, Nevada.
