The McDermitt High School boys basketball team dropped a pair of Eastern 1A games on the road this past weekend.
The Bulldogs traveled to Owyhee on Friday night and lost 55-28 to the Braves. Owyhee led 46-12 at halftime.
The road trip continued on Saturday in Carlin, where the Railroaders completed a season sweep with 43-24 win. The Railroaders led 13-5 after eight minutes of play and held the Bulldogs to three points in the second quarter to lead 23-8 at the break.
With the loss, McDermitt is now 0-7 in the Eastern 1A. Eureka leads the league at 7-0 and Owyhee (5-2) is second. Jackpot (3-3), Carlin (3-4), Wells (2-4) and McDermitt (0-7) round out the standings.
All six teams qualify for the Eastern 1A Regional Championships. The two teams receive first round byes. First round games will be hosted by the higher seeds.
McDermitt hosts Eureka on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
The regular season concludes on Feb. 10 at home against Jackpot and Feb. 11 versus Wells
