McClure signs with College of the Siskiyous to continue softball career

Even though she has not started her senior softball at Lowry High School, Maddison McClure knows where she will be headed to further her career.

The senior singed a letter of intent to play at College of the Siskiyous in Weed, Calif. McClure is a catcher for the Lady Bucks.

A season ago, she hit .322 with three home runs, with eight doubles to go with 28 hits and 22 RBI.

During here junior year, McClure did not commit an error in 35 games.

She was named to the Northern 3A East second team 

In her sophomore season, McClure hit .333 with 21 hits, 20 RBI and five doubles.

College of the Siskiyous plays in the Golden Valley Conference in central Calif., with Redwoods, Mendocino, Shasta, Yuba. Butte, Lassen and Feather River.

The Lowry softball team begins its season and is looking for a return trip to the state championship game. 

The Lady Bucks begin the season in Needles, Calif., and have non-conference games with North Valleys, Bishop Manogue, McQueen and Spanish Springs.

Lowry and North Valleys played for the 3A state championship last year.

The Lady Bucks were the lone team to beat the Panthers during the season.
