Lowry High School’s Jesus Guizar and Bernardo Estrada were named to the Northern 3A all-league first team for their play this past fall season.
Guizar was selected as a midfielder and Estrada as a defender.
Elko’s Nico Avila was named the MVP and Alonso Lujan was chosen as the coach of the year.
The Northern 3A first team included: Orlando Ruiz (Elko-Forward), Andres Lopez (Elko-Forward), Nico Avila (Elko-Midfield), Leo Pulgar (Elko-Midfield), Hector DeLa Cruz (Elko-Goalkeeper), Jonathan Jaimes (Elko-Midfield), Miguel Huerta (Elko-Defense), Edwin Ugalde (Churchill County-Midfield), Nathan Morill (Spring Creek-Forward), Kendrick Lee (Spring Creek-Defense), William Martinez (West Wendover-Defense) and Lucas Grasso (Dayton-Utility).
Lowry’s Nazerath Razo was named to the Northern 3A East and Northern 3A honorable mention team.
Joining Guizar and Estrada on the second team were: Dayton Steffens (Spring Creek-Forward), Djrevan Demick (Spring Creek-Midfield), Brady Smith (Spring Creek-Goalkeeper), Alonzo Carillo (West Wendover-Forward), Rudy Carillo (West Wendover-Utility), Daymond Fisher (Fernley-Forward), Alex Garcia (Fernley-Midfield), Daniel Villegas (Elko-Defense), Cesear Ledesma (Churchill County-Defense).
Lowry’s Nazerath Razo, Jesus Prado and Carlos Valdez were named to the Northern 3A honorable mention team. Razo, a senior, was a choice for the Northern 3A honorable mention team.
Elko’s Nico Avila, Orlando Ruiz, Leo Pulgar and Hector DeLa Cruz were names to the Northern 3A first team, along with Spring Creek’s Kendrick Lee and West Wendover’s William Martinez.
Elko’s Andres Lopez, Jonathan James, Miguel Herta were named to the second team with Spring Creek’s Djrevan Demick and Nathan Morill.
Lee, Avila and Ruiz were named to the all-state first team and Pulgar, DeLa Cruz and Martinez to the second team.
