Local teachers Joleen Nielsen (front left), sixth grade teacher at French Ford Middle School (FFMS), and Adrianne Hanninen (front right), third grade teacher at Grass Valley Elementary School, were celebrated at the Humboldt County School District (HCSD) Board of Trustees meeting on Aug. 22 for their exemplary work on the district’s Math Project. Both teachers provided coaching and help to other teachers participating in the project, bridging gaps in students’ math skills as a result of the pandemic.
