WINNEMUCCA—When it comes to the Tri-County Fair & Stampede, great entertainment is a given. From Friday, September 1, through Sunday, September 3, the Winnemucca Events Complex will be packed with fun things to do.
The bad news is you may not be able to fit it all in. The good news? It’s all free.
“The Magic of Joe Black” will make his debut at this year’s Tri-County Fair. Black will use audience participation, situational comedy, magic acts, and other tricks of the trade to wow crowds.
Shows will play on the Main Stage Outside at the Winnemucca Event Center at 2:30 p.m. Friday; 3 p.m. Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday.
But that’s not all: Black also will present “Joe Black Hypnosis Show,” offering a fun blend of tricks, comedy and, of course, hypnosis.
Crowds can catch the act on the Main Stage Outside at the Winnemucca Event Center at 7 p.m. Friday and 6:30 p.m. Saturday, and 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Each show will last 45 minutes and is free to the public.
“The Rowdy Refs Family Fun Show” also is scheduled to return to this year’s Tri-County Fair. The show will draw 20 unsuspecting youngsters and adults into the fun during each show’s segment, which will feature all the crazy stunts folks see on TV, but this time it will be family and friends who get to experience the fun first-hand.
The Rowdy Refs will present five shows on the Main Stage Outside at the Winnemucca Event Center at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Friday; 1 p.m. Saturday; and 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday. Each show will last about 45 minutes and is free to the public.
Paul “Buck” Stierle will combine musical comedy, sing-alongs and ventriloquism to create a newbrand of silly fun for kids and families alike. “Cowboy Buck’s Rootin Tootin Cowboy Music Show” will be presented three times on the Main Stage Outside at the Winnemucca Event Center: at 4 p.m. Friday; 4 p.m. Saturday; and 5 p.m. Sunday. Each show will last 45 minutes and is free to the public.
New to this year’s Fair, “The Northern Nevada Pet Expo” will fill the Winnemucca Event Center from Friday through Sunday, showcasing everything from turtles, snakes, frogs and lizards, to rodents, amphibians, fish, hedgehogs and much more. Times are Noon to 10 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Plus, don’t miss “High Desert Habits,” a three-piece band that will treat crowds to their local sound featuring covers of oldies, indie folk songs, foot-stomping originals and everything in between. Catch the band on the Main Stage Outside at 9 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There is no cost to attend and all ages are welcome.
