Maddux Nichols claimed the top spot in the annual Doc Verner Memorial junior golf tournament on Wednesday, July 26, at Winnemucca Municipal Golf Course with a round of 74.

Katie Cassinelli was second at 87 and Landon Esquivel (89), Txema Bengochea (94) and Conner Neal (102) rounded out the top five.

Lainey Novacek carded a 111, followed by Hadlee Corbitt (117), Kailani Rodriguez (135) and Tanner Hatch (156).

Aiden Guzman won the boys 13-14-year-old division with a nine-hole score of 61 and Jillian Bell won the girls 11-12-year-old age group with a round of 62.

Raylan Neal topped the boys standings in the 11-12-yeard-old division at 46. Kea Cabat (52) was the runner-up and Txendoa Cabatbat (55) placed third.

Eligh Guzman (59) and Jayson Milam (63), were fourth and fifth, respectively.

Armando Rodriguez won the boys 10 and under division with a 46.

Zane Stockton chips to the third green.

Sebastain Roman and Eric Marcinik tied for second at 50, with Roman winning a put-off to claim second. Owen Korinek (56), Drake Guzman (59) and Zane Stockton (60) rounded out the top six.

Grant Weber (61), McKray Kranovich (61), Landon Mouritsen (62), Casen Balaam (65), Blake Henry (66), Ivan Revak (68), Jesse Mouritsen (72), and Canyon Weber (76) finished out the scores.

Bryelle Weber shot a 53 to win the girls 10 and under division. Karli Rodriguez (56) was second and Landree Corbitt (60) was third. Amaya Myers (72) and Blayke Revak (86) rounded out the scores.
