The McDermitt High School track and field team made the short trip to Winnemucca this past Saturday for the Lowry Invitational.
Freshman Kiarra Crutcher set a personal best in the shot put with a throw of 24 feet, 5 inches to place eighth.
Crutcher placed 13th in the long jump with a mark of 9-7 and she was 18th in the discus with a toss of 63-5, another personal best.
Cierra Smart set a personal best in the shot put at 22-4.50 to place 17th and she was 19th in the discus at 63-0.50.
On the boys side, sophomore Kess Hinkey finishes eighth in the shot put with a throw of 34-2. Hinkey placed 14th in the discus (93-4.50).
Freshman AJ Farmer threw a personal best 28-7 in the shot put to place 23rd. He was 30th in the discus at 68-11.50.
McDermitt traveled to Crane, Ore., on Tuesday for the Ranchers Invitational and results were not available at press time.
The Bulldogs close out the regular season on Friday, May 5, in Lovelock.
