After dropping back-to-back games, the Lowry High School softball team got back on the winning track with four wins last week.
The Lady Bucks hosted Reno on Tuesday, April 11, in a non-conference match-up and beat the Huskies 6-1.
Lowry hit the road this past weekend in Fernley and swept the reigning 3A state champions.
The Lady Bucks won beat the Vaqueros 16-10 on Friday and swept a doubleheader 11-3 and 10-0 on Saturday.
Lowry improved to 5-1 in the Northern 3A East and 13-3 overall.

Lowry grabbed a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, as Megan Cook tripled home Hayden Case, who singled with one out.
The advantage increased to 2-0 in the second inning, when Maddison McClure doubled home Crisslyn Rodriguez, who led off the frame with a single.
The Lady Bucks put the game away in the bottom of the fifth inning, as Jada Matheny scored on a wild pitch and Cook provided the final blow with a three-run home run to score Case and Savannah Stoker.
Case and Cook each had two hits, with Cook providing four RBIs. Natalya Guizar, Matheny, McClure and Rodriguez each had one hit.
Stoker earned the win in the circle with the complete game effort. She allowed one run on six hits. She struck out nine.

Lowry built a 13-3 lead after the top of the sixth inning and had to hold on in the end, as Fernley closed the gap to 13-10 after scoring seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
The Lady Bucks rallied in the seventh, using a three-run home run from Shelbie Hoyt to also score Presley Hayes and Matheny to add the insurance runs.
Bree Dunckhorst got the start in the circle and earned the win in 5.2 innings of work. She allowed 10 runs (nine earned) on nine hits.
She struck out eight and walked three.
Guizar threw the final 1.1 innings and allowed one hit. She struck out two and walked one.
Lowry took a 1-0 advantage in the first inning off an RBI-double by Cook and increased the lead to 3-0 in the second inning on an RBI-ground out by Matheny and a double by Hoyt.
The Lady Bucks used base hits from Rodriguez, Cambria Tisue and Bailey Peterson to stretch the lead to 6-0 in the third inning.
Fernley answered with two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to trim the deficit to 6-2, when Lowry got three runs back in the fifth inning.
McClure led off the frame with a solo homer and Matheny, Case and Stoker followed with base hits.
The Lady Bucks added four runs in the sixth inning to go up 13-3. Hoyt led off the inning with a single and Case and Stoker addded base hits.
Case was 5-for-6 with two runs scored and two RBIs, as Lowry pounded out 22 hits.
Hoyt, Stoker, Matheny and Peterson each had three hits and the foursome combined for eight RBIs and seven runs scored. Rodriguez had two hits and Cook and McClure one each.

Lowry led 5-0 after three innings of play in the opening game on Saturday and did not let this one get close.
After the Vaqueros scored a single run in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 5-1, the Lady Bucks got it right back in the fifth inning, as Stoker led off the frame with a solo home run. The rally continued as Matheny and Hoyt singled home runs to make the score 8-1.
Fernley plated single runs in the fifth and sixth innings to cut the gap to 8-3, when Hoyt put the contest out of reach with a three-run home run in the top of the seventh to score Hayes and Matheny.
Hoyt went 4-for-5 with four RBIs and two runs scored, while Stoker added three hits two RBIs and two runs scored. Tisue and Matheny each had two hits and Cook and McClure had one hit apiece.
Stoker started in the circle and earned the win in five innings of work. She allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits. She struck out nine and walked five. Dunckhorst threw the final inning and gave up one hit. She struck out one.

In the series finale, Lowry jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning off a single by Hoyt and double from Case. The Lady Bucks increased the advantage to 3-0 in the second inning off back-to-back doubles by Peterson and McClure.
The Lady Bucks added five runs in the third inning on the strength of base hits from Case, Stoker, Tisue, Peterson and Hoyt.
Hoyt, Case, Cook and Peterson each had two hits in the rout. Stoker and McClure had one hit apiece.
Dunckhorst earned the complete-game victory, allowing just three hits. She walked four and struck out three.
Lowry is back home ty play Spring Creek on Thursday at 3 p.m. and a doubleheader on Friday at 11 a.m.
