Last Saturday the PCHS track team traveled to Galena High School. Ashton Jimenez, Angelo Gibson, Luis Sanchez, Ramon Sanchez, Hayley Montes and Yasmin Acosta put in a long day.
"They've been working hard," Coach Matt Fuller said. Altogether, they competed in seven different events.
Jimenez, Gibson, Luis Sanchez and Ramon Sanchez ran the relay.
Jimenez also threw the shot put, long jumped and competed in the 400-meter race. Gibson ran the 100 meters. Luis Sanchez ran the 100 and 400 meters.
Ramon Sanchez ran the 800m and long jumped.
On the girl's side, Montes ran the 100 meters and 100- meter hurdles. Acosta ran the 100 meters, 400 meters and long jumped.
Gibson and Sanchez set personal records (PR) in the 100m race. Acosta PRd in the 100 meters and 400-meter races.
"We are off this week for break but will be back and ready to go for the final few weeks of the season. They've been working hard and are excited for their upcoming home track meet on Friday, May 5," Fuller said.
The meet begins at 9 a.m.
