The Pershing County High School softball team caught a break last Saturday when North Tahoe forfeited their doubleheader.
The girls showed up to watch the boys beat the Lakers instead.
On Tuesday, they played Yerington on the road. Results were not available at press time.
This Saturday Lovelock hosts Yerington for the last two games of the series at 10 a.m. and noon.
The Mustangs stand at 14-2, overall, and 8-0 in the 2A.
“The girls improve weekly. This past week they started to mesh and we found our groove. They're working hard and beginning to show what they're capable of. I'm looking forward to the next few weeks of games," coach Jordan McKinney said.
