With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Alvin J. Rodriquez on April 1, 2023 at the age of 64 years old due to a long battle of numerous illnesses.
At the time of his passing, he was a resident and member of the Lovelock Paiute Tribe.
Alvin spent many years working as a wildland firefighter and later as a camp crew member in the wildland fire service. He loved being outdoors and his favorite past time was walking in the nearby mountains.
Alvin is preceded in death by his father and mother Martin and Eunice (Brown) Rodriquez.
He is survived by his brothers Tony Rodriquez and Manuel Rodriquez (Lila), sisters Loretta Burden and Julie Hughes, numerous Nieces, Nephews and extended family near and far. Alvin will truly be missed.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, April 15th at the Smith’s Family Funeral Home located at 505 Rio Vista Drive, Fallon from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 16th at the Lovelock Paiute Tribe Gymnasium beginning at 11 a.m. A dinner will follow provided by the family.
