The Lowry High School boys soccer team began play in the Northern 3A East Division with a road trip to Fallon on Tuesday, Sept. 20.
The Greenwave, on their home field, scored the first four goals of the match, all in the first half and held on for a 4-3 win.
With the loss Lowry is 0-1 in in the Northern 3A, 0-5 in crossover play and 0-10 on the season.
Churchill County scored the first four goals of the day, when Lowry got on the board late in the first half on a penalty kick.
It was the first goal for the Buckaroos, who were held scoreless in their previous six matches.
Lowry added two goals in the second half but could not complete the comeback.
Lowry hosts Dayton on Friday at 4:45 p.m. and Fernley on Saturday at 11:45 a.m.
The Buckaroos travel to Truckee on Monday, Oct. 3, to make up a postponed match.
