Carolyn Elizondo was born on October 14, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She entered eternal life on August 30, 2022.  At an early age, her family moved to Winnemucca, Nevada where she attended schools.

Winnemucca is where she met many lifelong friends and raised her family. She graduated from Humboldt County High School in 1955.

After graduation, she attended the University of Nevada for one year and then returned to Winnemucca to start her family and her career with Nevada Bell.

On June 20, 1957, she gave birth to her first son Roger Harmon and on April 28, 1961, she gave birth to her second son David Elizondo.

While living in Winnemucca, Carolyn followed her children to all their sporting events, enjoyed camping and fishing with her family and friends (especially at Knott Creek Reservoir), had family over on Sunday afternoons for dinner, and hosted numerous gatherings on New Years Day and Super Bowl Sunday.

After Nevada Bell closed the business office in Winnemucca, Carolyn moved to Reno, Nevada

to continue her career with Nevada Bell until retirement.

After retiring from Nevada Bell, she worked as and interior decorator for a few years and then finished her working career in the real estate business.

It was Carolyn’s first years in Reno when she purchased a large home on

Sharon Way and Pineridge and allowed numerous Winnemuccan’s to stay with her while they attended college.

Carolyn made everyone feel at home. She also became the host for the Winnemuccan’s attending the UNR – Boise State football games.

While in Reno, Carolyn was able to be near her family and watch her grandsons grow up.

This is where she taught her grandson Brandon a few of her cooking skills.

She also became a supporter of the UNR Wolfpack football and basketball teams. She met many new lifelong friends while in Reno.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Elizondo, her mother Emma Kihara, her father William Sholl, and her brother Richard Sholl. Carolyn is survived by her son Roger Harmon, her son David Elizondo, her grandson Daniel Elizondo and wife Kristen, her grandson

Brandon Elizondo and wife Valerie, extended family, and numerous special friends.
