Lowry girls shut out by South Tahoe

After picking up two wins at the Spring Creek tournament, the Lowry High School girls soccer team had a quick turnaround and began Northern 3A crossover play at South Tahoe on Tuesday, Aug. 30.

The Vikings, one of the perennial powers in the 3A claimed a 7-0 victory over the Lady Bucks (0-1 league, 2-3 overall).

South Tahoe scored five goals in the first 40 minutes of play and didn’t look back. The Vikings picked up a pair of goals in the second half.

Lowry hosts Sparks on Wednesday at 3 p.m. and Truckee on Friday at 4:45 p.m.
