Judy Rachael Robinson, 70, died Tuesday, October 18 at her home in Winnemucca NV.
Judy was born July 24, 1952, in Newfoundland, Canada, to Walter and Maud Caravan.
Judy and her family moved to the United States (Empire, NV) when she was 5, and she lived in several small Nevada towns throughout her childhood.
Judy moved to Battle Mountain, NV in 8th grade, where she met her husband of 34 years, Ben Robinson, and graduated high school.
Judy and Ben had two children, Wally and Melanie, and moved to Winnemucca in 1979. Judy and Ben later divorced.
Judy worked at the Winners Inn and Casino for 19 years, managed the Texaco C Store for several years, and retired from Twin Creeks Mine as an Assay Lab Tech after 10 years.
Judy loved baking, banana bread and Christmas cookies are all-time family favorites.
She loved picking elderberries chokecherries, blackberries, canning jellies, jams, fruit and vegetables, and was known for her bread and butter pickles.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening, shopping, and spending time with her family.
Judy is survived by her children, Wally (Shelley) Robinson, Melanie (Vincent) Wildeman, grandchildren Taylor Morrison, Christopher (Laura) Wildeman, Marisa Wildeman, her 5 great grandchildren, Margaret, Harrison, Malika, Harmony and Isla and several cousins. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Walt and Maud Caravan.
Celebration of life services will be held Friday, October 28th at 2:00 pm at Sonoma Funeral Home.
