The Battle Mountain High School cross country team was in Wells this past Friday on the 3.1-mile course at Chimney Creek Golf Course.
Junior Julian Sosa was 51st in the boys varsity race in a time of 25 minutes, 56 seconds.
Spring Creek’s Joel Herman won the race with a time of 16:15.
In the girls race, freshman Ivy Peterson finished with a time of 26:38 and Lilly Peterson stopped the clock at 35:18.
Battle Mountain is in Elko on Friday.
