The Battle Mountain High School girls soccer team dropped three matches in Northern 2A play last week.
The Lady Longhorns hosted Pershing County on Wednesday, Oct. 12, and lost 2-0 to the Mustangs. The match was tied 0-0 at halftime, when Pershing County scored in the 58th minute.
The Mustangs converted a penalty kick in the 72nd minute to account for the second goal.
Battle Mountain was in Tahoe City, Calif., this past Friday and lost 9-0 to league-leading North Tahoe. The road trip concluded on Saturday with a 5-0 loss to Incline.
Battle Mountain is 2-12 overall and 1-10 in the Northern 2A. The Lady Longhorns host White Pine on Saturday at 11 a.m.
