The Battle Mountain High School football team got back on the winning track with a convincing 49-0 win over Coral Academy this past Friday night at Damonte Ranch High School in Reno
The victory sets up a showdown with rival Pershing County in Battle Mountain on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
Barring a loss by league-leading Yerington, the winner of this game will likely hostt he other in the opening round of the NIAA 2A State playoffs on Nov. 4 or Nov. 5.
Yerington is undefeated in Northern 2A play and Battle Mountain and Pershing County are tied for second at 4-1, with each losing to Yerington.
