The Lowry High School volleyball tram hit the road for the first time in Northern 3A East play and saw its eight-match winning streak come to an end this past Friday with a 25-23, 25-16 and 25-22 loss to Dayton.
The Lady Bucks founds themselves in a battle on Saturday afternoon against Fernley to complete the road trip.
Lowry still stinging from the loss to Dayton, dropped the first set to the Vaqueros 25-21. The Lady Bucks bounced back to win the next two sets by the same 25-23 score.
Fernley kept the match going, winning the fourth set 25-23 but Lowry was able to get out of Lyon County with a split on the weekend, winning the final set 15-13.
Lowry is 2-1 in the Northern 3A East, 6-0 in crossover matches against the Northern 3A West and 15-5 overall.
Lowry hosted Spring Creek on Tuesday and results were not available at press time.
Lowry travels to Elko on Thursday and Fallon on Tuesday, Oct. 11.
