In the case of James Daniel Doyal, charged with operate a motor vehicle while driver’s license suspended: defendant did not call or appear. Will forfeit cash bail posted and close case.



Sept. 22

In the case of Heather Nicole Hournbuckle, charged with domestic battery first offense: The county was represented by DA Michael Macdonald. Defendant pleaded no contest and was fined $340. The court suspended all fines and fees for a period of one year on condition of no like violations, 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for a period of one year, serve 2 days and was given credit for 1 day time served. The remaining day was converted to house arrest to be completed by Nov. 1; 48 hours community service to be completed by Jan. 1, 2023; 26 sessions of batterer’s intervention counseling with monthly reports to the court. Defendant was also admonished that pursuant to NRS 176.337 – possession, shipment, transportation or receipt of firearm or ammunition may constitute a felony. Bail bond exonerated.

In the case of Daniel Joseph Shaw, charged with felony battery by prisoner: motion to dismiss and order signed by judge dismissing case without prejudice.
