Fatal crash near Goldfield

On Saturday Nov. 12, 2022, at approximately 5:50 A.M. Pacific Time, Troopers with the Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol Division, responded to a report of a vehicle crash on highway US-95, near mile marker 18 in Esmerelda County.

This location is approximately 1 mile south of Goldfield.

Preliminary investigation determined that a silver-colored Ram pick-up truck was traveling south on US95 in the southbound left travel lane.

A white colored Ram pick-up truck was traveling north on US-95 in the northbound travel lane toward the silver-colored Ram.

For unknown reasons the driver of the white Ram crossed over the centerline into the southbound travel lane directly into the path of the silver-colored Ram.

The driver of the silver-colored Ram veered right toward the right lane to avoid a collision.

The front of the white Ram stuck the front of the silver-colored Ram causing both vehicles to leave the roadway and come to rest on the paved shoulder. The white Ram pick-up subsequently caught fire.

Unfortunately, all occupants in the white Ram pick-up, Mariella Hardin (age 53) of Las Vegas, NV, Genelle Guillmo Ramerine (age 38), and two female juveniles succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased on scene.

The five occupants of the silver-colored Ram pick-up were transported from the scene, with varying degrees of injury, for medical treatment.

The crash is being investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol Northern Command East Multi-Disciplinary

Investigation and Reconstruction Team (M.I.R.T.). If you were a witness to this incident, or have any
