Leonard Marvin Johnson passed away January 19, 2022 in Parker, Arizona. He was 89.
Marv was born on a ranch near Redmond, Oregon, September 16, 1932.
He graduated high school in Ontario, Oregon in 1950. He attended school reunions through the years, the 60th being the last one. He had many lifetime friends from school, especially Tom Uriu (Gail) in Weiser.
Marv served as a corporal in the Army during the Korean War, he was stationed at the Panama Canal as a radio operator.
Marv lived and worked road construction, mostly in Oregon before moving to McDermitt Nevada in 1993 when he retired (the first time).
He married Carol Rosenlund in 1994. He worked at Say When Casio and at Carols Orevada Bar till the business sold in 2009 (retirement #2). He worked for McClintick Farms until he retired (#3).
Marv loved spending winters in Parker, Arizona. He had many friends at the Emerald Cove Clubhouse, VFW and American Legion.
Marv was preceded in death by his mother Bernice, father Virgil, brothers Gerald and Elwin (Red), his wife Eva, brother in law Bill and his son Devon.
He is survived by wife Carol, sister Maxine, sons Lonny (Nancy), Mark (Darlene) Johnson, Daughters Ronda (Roy) Wolfe, and Renee Johnson. Granddaughters Marcy (Kevin) Hoskett, Kayla (Matthew) Rivera. Grandsons Derek Johnson, Ben (Katie) Wolfe, and Josh Wolf.
Marv was so proud of his family and loved them so much.
He inherited more family over the years, who loved him. He was Grandpa Marv to all.
Marv will be intured at the Veterans Cemetery in Fernley, Nevada. Services still pending.
