Union Township Justice Court
On April 22, Beaudean James Frandsen pleaded no contest to the charges of driving under the influence first offense and the amended charge of no license in possession (originally cited for operating a vehicle while driver’s license is revoked for DUI). The court ruled: count 1 – sentenced to 30 days jail with 28 stayed for period of one year, stayed jail time with the condition he serve two days (credit given for one day and the remaining day converted to 48 hours of house arrest), fined $400 + $125 AA + $60 forensic fee, defendant forfeited bail to pay for fines owed. Victim impact panel ordered, DUI class already completed. Breath interlock device ordered for a period of 185 days. Count 2 – fined $100 + $95AA, fines and fees suspended for a period of one year with the condition of no like violations and all recommendations and conditions of the court are met for count 1. The charge of headlamps was dismissed pursuant to negotiation.
On April 26, Michael Begay pleaded guilty to domestic battery first offense. The court ruled: fined $200 + $105AA + $35 special assessment fee, fines and fees converted to four days jail and credit for time served. 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for period of one year, is to serve two days and was given credit for two days time served, 48 hours community service to be completed, 26 sessions of batters intervention counseling with monthly reports to the court. Defendant was also admonished that possession, shipment, transportation or receipt of firearms or ammunition may constitute a felony.
